Renters Equity Movement Association Inc. (R.E.M.A) was formed on July 9th, 2023, as a non-profit driven by a pivotal event that highlighted the urgent need for tenant empowerment and advocacy. On that day, a power outage struck a particular building within our property, leaving its residents without electricity while the rest of the property remained unaffected. Countless calls and pleas for assistance to the respective departments went unanswered for hours, leaving us feeling unheard and powerless.

Realizing the critical importance of having our voices lifted and amplified to the property manager, we came together to establish R.E.M.A. Our organization stands as a strong advocate for the rights and well-being of renters in our community. We believe that every individual, regardless of their housing situation, deserves to live in a safe and dignified environment.
